The Power of Now
Style of Yoga to be taught
Hatha yoga & Restorative
On the mornings, classical Hatha Yoga will take us deeper within, preparing us for meditation and more
subtle levels of awareness. We will work a lot with individual Asana’s (poses) to ensure good alignment,
Pranayama (Breath/ life force activation), Mudra’s (Sacred gestures), some Mantra (healing sound
currents) and Bhanda’s (Energy locks). Some gentle flow sequences will be occasionally included, along
with sound, imagery, guided meditations and deep relaxations.
The afternoon classes will be more restorative. Yin Yoga inspired; holding poses for a longer period to
stretch and relax the deeper tissues.

Your Rustic Retreats journey

“Accept – then act. Whatever the present moment contains, accept it as if you had chosen it. Always work
with it, not against it. Make it your friend and ally; not your enemy. This will miraculously transform your
whole life”. Eckhart Tolle.
Your Rustic Retreat journey is taking you for a ride into the here and now, the only real reality. Out of the
frame of the usual daily life, you will enjoy a full immersion into the magic of living off grid, guided by
the rhythm of Nature. The yoga classes and workshops will invite you to listen to your body, the one that
takes you back to the present moment, your only perfect teacher.

Your workshop programme
Workshop 1: The power of welcoming
« The more I resist, the more it persists ». What about embracing the whole reality, within all its
dimensions ? The pleasant ones, and the unpleasant. Our true nature is Unity, but we live in duality,
through duality. Welcoming everything that is part of the existence may be a key step on the path towards
inner peace. In a gentle and playful way, let’s meet those parts of us we usually hide to ourselves, and
invite them into the dance of life.

Workshop 2: The power of awareness
Life is movement, isn’t it ? Everything in the universe is made of moving energy. Our body is
programmed to keep everything in motion. Any inner tension going on ? It may mean that the energy
could flow better. Let’s recognize it, welcome it, and listen to what it has to say by offering our attention
to that part of our body. By giving the body the microphone through our awareness, we bring back the
flow of energy into the whole system, increasing physical vitality and mental clarity.
Where the awareness goes, the energy goes. And where the energy goes, there is a new open space for
healing.

Workshop 3: The power of letting go
« What we contain, constrains ». How many unnecessary memories is our body still carrying ? Aren’t our
shoulders and back feeling a bit tired of all that weight ? This workshop will offer you an opportunity to
give that weight back to the Earth, through visualisation exercises and smooth physical practices. The
energy flowing freely into the new spaces created inwards will make you feel like new.

Workshop 4: The power of reconnection
If the way we look to the outside world is only a reflect of our inner world, the softest our relationship is
with ourselves, the easiest it will be with the world. How I relate with others will tell me how I relate with
myself. Through some simple and joyful propositions inspired by our natural human wisdom, you will
explore different ways of being related to other human beings. And enjoying the safe place that simple
reconnection can be.

Workshop 5: The power of gratitude
What is more “power of now” related than gratitude ? Our nervous system is programmed for our
survival, so we instinctively tend to pay more attention to what could be a source of danger, and more
generally to what we don’t like. Cultivating gratitude is a day to day journey that can transform our
“normal” life into a miraculous one. We will explore what gratitude means to all of us; how it can make
us happier and healthier. It gives us the opportunity for self-reflection and observation and moves us
directly into the space of the heart.
